The Sponsor The Arts program not only provides support for The Nutcracker Sweet production and participants, but financial aid and scholarships to local middle and high school performing arts and fine arts students. We also support Miracles In Motion, a local organization that provides dance instruction to people with special needs.
While many patrons and participants enjoy ballet productions, few realize the costs of hosting a performance to the caliber of The Nutcracker Sweet. From costume and prop design supplies to rehearsal space rental, theater rental, set design supplies, lighting and sound design fees, website costs and insurance, the list is long. Your support enables us to host The Nutcracker Sweet production at the highest level.
This scholarship fund honors the life and memory of Terrance Easter. Terrance performed in the 2017 and 2018 seasons of The Nutcracker Sweet. He was a shining example of the mission of PDM Productions. Not only was Terrance talented, he had relentless tenacity, a respectful attitude and a kind, gentle soul. Terrance is remembered for his warm smile and contagious laugh. Please consider a donation so that this scholarship can honor his memory for years to come.
Each year we provide as many as (4) $1000 scholarships to High School seniors and as many as (5) $350 scholarships to rising freshmen. Scholarships are awarded to students who excel in the performing and/or fine arts, and who wish to continue training in the arts. Scholarship recipients are selected by department leader(s), teacher(s) and director(s).
Miracles In Motion is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit that provides quality dance instruction to people with special needs while promoting awareness in the community through the joy of dancing.
